Default anyone have the tool to adjust the rear brake pads

so i forgot about the rear brakes. we were flushing all the fluids and swapping pads yesterday, and this is the only problem we ran into.

the rear brakes have that cross thingy adjustment on them. i don't remember what we used last time; if it was a certain tool i don't have it anymore.

anyone have it? or have a trick? or know what the tool costs? using the center part of a wrench isn't working cuz there's not enough hold or friction.

Needle nose pliers, and just twist the piston.

so keep that cross center piece thing still and twist the piston instead. that may work.

thanks!

just put the 3/8" extension (square shape) in the center of the cross, then twist it. or you can grab a tool (looks like the cube from transformer) for under $10 at any store.

first method worked better for me

oh didnt see that.

usually the end of extensions are more angular than that of the actual ratchet. worth to try.

a simple screwdriver always works. not too big and not too small. just lay it in and twist clockwise you don't usually have to twist it in too much. i've never owned the actual tool (or even used it) to do the rear brakes, just used a screwdriver.
