I stopped going to Jiffy Lube a few years ago after they almost blew the engine on my Celica. They were doing a radiator flush (not sure how they talked me into that one) and the tech forgot to reconnect the hose at the bottom of the radiator. Needless to say, all the coolant drained out and caused my engine to overheat very quickly. They ran a compression test on my engine after to make sure I didn't crack the block, but they wouldn't even refund the service to me.

My office is right across the street from a Jiffy Lube. I see how those sleezeballs operate every day. They treat their customers and their cars like dirt. Don't go to Jiffy Lube.

Curious. In Jeeps, is the fuel filter in the gas tank? Did he mean fuel pump? Why would they change the pump.

That's a good point. Since when did a fuel filter require you to drop the gas tank?! My Ford Focus Fuel Filter (excuse the alliteration) is easily accessible under the car. I replace it myself without touching the fuel tank.

Does the S2000 have a fuel filter? Where is it?

Some of the fuel filters are located in the gas tank or close to it where you have to drop the tank such as the corolla. I am not sure about the Jeeps though. Yes they do these services but rarely do they do it or even have the filter in the shop. I use to work at EZ Lube. You would not want to take your car there either.
