Default anyone with experienxe running 255/40/17 and lowered?

I've always been one to search, search, search, but it's a bit tough bring able to get enough information on my phone, while at work, but can someone help me with this. I was going to order a set of tires on tirerack, and I've ran stock AP2 sizes for the last 8 years. But I wad thinking about doing the CR 255/40/17...then thought about doing 225/45/17 up front as well...after I came across this thread
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/755...or-stock-rims/

option 1: 215/45-17 F, 245/40-17 R (stock AP2 sizes)
option 2: 215/45-17 F, 255/40-17 R (stock CR sizes)
option 3: 225/45-17 F, 255/40-17 R

so basically I'm looking at this third option. I saw that someone said that the 225 up front will rub in extreme conditions, but just wanted to know if anyone has any input on whether I'll rub with option 3, if so...how about option 2. I'm on pss9 suspension lowered about 1.5 all around, so not super low

thanks for any and all help...just really wanna be able to place my order today

I ran 225/45-17 F, 255/40-17 R without any rubbing issues when I was on my HKS and lowered. I'm not sure what your reference point is for your height drop but you should be fine if your using OEM Wheels.

How much were you lowered. I'm at approximately a 1 inch gap all around right now

I was about 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" from the tire to the fender or the preferred and scientifically proven method... a two finger gap.

Your going to rub. With 225's it will rub your fender liner and 255's it will rub your fender protector unless your running more camber.

You should just run what you are always running.

I ran this setup when i bought a set of Re070 off a CR a few years back. I was pretty much slammed with no finger gap all around.. I had rubbing on the inner portion of the front fender liners and would smell burning plastic every time i hit the canyons or auto x. This went away over time but now i can see the bare metal when i take my front wheels off. I never noticed any issues in the rear but i also had some fender work done which might have helped.

At the end of the day i think you should be fine especially with your suspension settings.
