Don't trip. I'm keeping the bm.
So get the SUV when you have them........think of the gas $$$ you will save between now and then!!

In the next several months, i may get into a GMC Denali or Chevy Tahoe. I've never...ever...driven an american ride before so looking for some feedback.

Please don't flame for veing a sellout.
I deal with alot of GM products in our rental fleet. And we've always had good luck with GM Trucks and Large SUV's

I can get crazy deals on Subbies and Yukons, but just can't afford the freakin' gas

Nice grats!

So as an extra car... Is there any reason you are not considering a Japanese SUV? The MDX/RDX or Lexus lineups are really nice IMO. There's also the BMW SAVs. Personally, if I were to get a SUV, I'd get one that drives like a car rather than a boat. I have driven a lot of SUVs, while the Domestics are roomy and do look nice, I don't like the way they drive on the road. I'm sure we know someone who can get you a deal on the MDX too.

MDX:

Interior is so much nicer. I sat in one at Planet Acura and was so surprised on how nice it was inside. I had to get out or I'd want one.

I like the Audi-esque lights.

Ask Matt, maybe he'll get some 30" Volks for you.

Go sit in one bro! Dare I say it feels like a Lexus inside but with a nicer center dash/console. I'd take Honda reliability over GM anyday. Plus you know you'll get better hookups with service. Customer service I don't even need to talk about.

Real world gas mileage: 17 city, 21-25 highway.

family has owned an 02 suburban(obviously not the size you're looking for, but similar to the Tahoe)...

ZERO problems. only a family car(have 6 members)... so the past 5 years almost, with about 35K miles on her, no problems. Gas mileage ain't too shabby.
averaging about 15-16 mpg.

personal experience, no problems, rides and drives great IMO. hope that helps buddy
