That's Streets of Willow...
Speedventures was at Buttonwillow.
(Why do half the Cali racetracks wave willow somewhere in their name?)
Don't recognize any of the cars; I'm not sure what group that was.

That's a Redline Event.
That was last month at the streets. I think there were about 4 or 5 S2's at that event.
We're back there this month on Oct 22. www.redlinetrackevents.com
Speedoptions does a nice write up and posts pictures for every event we put on.

It is tape - to protect the car from rock chips, etc. There are A LOT of little rocks that get on the track when someone goes off at Willow.
At buttonwillow this weekend, there was a Carrera with the ENTIRE car covered, except part of the door.
Hope you had fun out ther. You should definitely come to a SpeedVentures event where all the fast S2000s are. It's a great opportunity to learn!

Hey tony....should I be worried about Streets of Willow? Or just make sure I don't go 4 off?
Yes, racetracks do get dirty and cars in front of you can pick up little pebbles and throw them at you. Each time it happens, your car gets a little bit lighter and a little bit faster The worst offenders are the rally cars whose drivers intentionally drive 2 wheels in the dirt at every apex.
Streets is not a place you want to go 4 off. Yeah, it's low speed, but man are there some nasty dips and fences that can total your car in a heartbeat. I had 4 4-wheel offs at buttonwillow this past weekend and twice I thought for sure I would roll the car. Old autocross Hoosiers don't make very safe track tires: they just grip and grip and grip and grip until suddenly with very little warning, you're driving on ice.

Oh, you haven't had a true track experience until you go 4 off! Come on, it makes for fantastic pictures, dirt clouds and stories... just try not to hit anything or try to get right back onto the track... then you'll be in trouble.
One other thing... I'm no noob, I've got a time trial license!
