Altec Lansing ftw!! Long time computer advocate here, built computer systems from the ground up with every source of video/ sound card imaginable. Computer speakers don't mean much if your sound card is wack.

If you have a laptop ur pretty much stuck, but if ur using a desktop upgrade your sound card first then spend some extra money on the speakers...

i have a laptop that is connected to 2 monitors..so basically its kind of like a desktop setup just without the desktop computer and sound card.

probably should just go with some "OK" speakers than.. good thing you brought that up

Yep, no point in trying to get high quality speakers when you cant get its full potential.

hey guys.. i went ahead and got some logitech's for a little over $50 at best buy. they're actually what i needed. I wanted to get the Klipsch so badly when i auditioned them, but it was out of my budget. anyways, quick question: where is the best place to put the sub.. on the ground (which is wood in my case) or on the desk?

I would recommend you spend another $25 and get these JBLs.

You won't be sorry.
