Default Any good apartment leads?

I've been looking for a 1-bedroom (not studio) in the Fullerton/Brea/Buena Park/ect area for a week now. I just can't come up with a place for under $950-$1000 a month. I know prices are steep here, but does anyone care to offer suggestions? I wouldn't mind paying $950 if it was a nice neighborhood with modern apartments... the problem is that everything I find for that price is in a horrible neighborhood or is totally run down.

You might want to rent a room instead in a nice house, lots of places around fullerton (cal state) do that...you can get a private entrance and your own room with kitchen priveleges for like $600 usually. $900 is about the minimum you are going to find any 1 bed apt. They just aren't cheap in OC. Whatever you find get an assigned spot, don't do that street parking crap or your car will be messed up in a matter of weeks from cars hitting it and whatnot.

If you want your car to be alive stay in Irvine. Serrano, Woodbury and Quail are EX. places to stay. Your own garage.. and gated.

1370+ for 1 bedroom.
