is amsoil the way to go?

I was thinking of using redline for the differential and tranny, but that reply about the guy blowing the differential has scared me. Just looking for some assurance that redline is ok.
Thanks,
Phillip

Started off with Mobile 1, then Amsoil... there was a big difference there in terms of oil longevity (less blow-by), and much smoother sounding. Now using Redline, and it's even a bigger difference. Motor purrs nice and quiet, and is lasting quite a long time, 4 months and going...

BC -- actually, I remember reading in car and driver that BMW got sued for requiring the use of their oil in the current M3... long story short ... it is now law that no manufacturer can require you to use one oil or another. I'll happily poke under my bed to find the old magazine if it is super important to you.
That said ... I'm perfectly happy with Mobil 1 every 3750 mi, and that is after reading about every damn forum ever written on this site about syn vs dinos, ect.
My personal gut instinct ... it doesn't really matter what you use. But I'll still drop the 4 bones/ bottle for the Mobil 1 just to be sure!!
