At 40 mph even though a big beast, that deer is hurt. Too bad you werent able to get a hold of animal control. They could have done something to take care of a wounded animal.
dont you hate that when you need someone no one is there to assist you or someone or thing else...

well, that thing got up fairly quickly.. don't know if its internally bleeding. anyways, i can't upload the video today because it's a high resolution video and i can't send it to my email.. i will probably need the special USB cable for the phone i have..

OP:
At least the thing didn't fly through the windshield and injure you. I've heard of that happening and the animal then starts kicking when it freaks out and ends up kicking the people in the face!

when i was driving the S today.. i was thinking about that movie tommy boy with chris farley and david spade.. when they hit the deer with antlers and thought it was dead.. then craziness ensued.

Got the video up.. not the best quality, but its the highest my phone would do. its missing a piece from the end of the original video..toward the end of the vid, you can see a car go by that narrowly misses the deer by literally inches. but i didnt get that on video because i was honking.. + as i didnt expect the animal to get up, i didnt take out the phone until after it got up.
