Default The Amazing Deer (with video)

WOW! well, i have friday the 12th off and i was out late thursday night. i was headed home around 1:40am and was exiting the offramp to my place when 2 deers ran across the on ramp trying to get to the other side. I slammed on the brakes and hit the deer that was last in the pack. This is the first time i ever hit any kind of animal on the streets. And it was big alright. The impact felt very strong but didnt do alot of damage to the car i was driving ( not the S). I literally saw the deer fly foward and slide on the ground. I immediately hit the emergency lights and was parked there with the headlights on for 10 minutes. I just stared. At first, I could tell it was in shock from the collision. It was laying there sort of twitching. Then it stopped and just lay there breathing. At that time I thought it would be good to call any kind of emergency animal control. After pressing several frikkin numbers to get to the right person, to my amazement, the deer got on its side all of a sudden. Then it gradually stood up. I wish i could of saw the look on my face. I was completely shocked. I must've hit that thing doing 40mph. Thats when i hung up the phone trying to get someone from animal control. I turned off my headlights as to try to not frighten it. But eventually i had to turn them back on because there were some cars that were getting off and I wanted them to see it before they passed. Now, im just glad my phone has a camera because I started recording this beast. Yes I mean beast because theres no way ANY human could of survived that hit at 40mph in a sedan. Anyways, i might upload the video later in the day after i get some sleep. Good thing theres not to much damage to the car. Anyone know any good body shops around San Fernando Valley/East Ventura County? I have liability on this car so im gonna go a little cheap. Got to admit, it was the most eventful thing that happened to me that night .. damn, what a rush.

Try seeing a moose in person.

I bet you'd not believe how tall they are.

Imagine a creature 8ft at the shoulder and 11 feet tall with its rack. Up to 1800lbs.

That's like crashing into a lotus elise with a giant set of antlers..... THAT is scary.

ahhh Alaska.
