depends on what u want. steering feel, braking, turn in, as well as gas mileage and acceleratin like u mentioned. im staying staggered with beefier fronts.

Is it worth it? To me, yes. I was in the same boat as you before I bought wheels. Went non staggered and never regretted it

Just got back from Ballade Sports. Got some work done to my ride. Well worth the hour drive. Alex is a good dude.

I have been arguing with myself for a while now over going staggered or not. I guess I just want a bit more stability, as well as better cornering feel. Non-staggered appeals to me because I could rotate my tires if I wanted to and save a little money, as well as a bit more stability I guess. What do you mean by beefier fronts? Meatier tires? Help me make up my mind. hahaha.

Hmm...modifying my fenders. If I am going non-staggered I was looking at something like 17x9 +40 to like +45 for offset, would that require extensive or minor fender rolling/pulling? I am also iffy about the paint possibly chipping or getting damaged.

WARNING: somewhat LONG WALL OF TEXT
I run the typical 17x9 +45 RPF1s. so you can kinda imagine that but 5mm more out if you want to run a +40.
The amount of fender modding will depend on
1) the amount of camber you run in the front
2) how low your ride height is
3) the size of tire. 245 non stagger or 255 non stagger?
No matter what you do have to at least have a minor flare / roll / and trim the fender liners. I would suggest contacting Isaac (spunkysandoval) for a fender roll. He did my front + rear on my car before.
Not sure if you saw my car at the last meet but I am lowered approximately 2.5" with -3 deg camber and I had to do extensive flaring on the front fenders to make it clear. Basically a heat gun + hammer + minor bodywork + repaint (keep in mind, that no matter what you do, the tire will RUB under ROLL with 255s. It's just a matter of how BAD it rubs. It also will rub on the inside fender frame depending on ride height. At my height it also rubs the top of the fender if I hit a bump or something while my suspension is under compression) Also keep in mind, different tires are wider even if it's the same 255s. i.e. a 255 AD08 will run a lot wider than 255 starspecs.
To be honest with you, if your scared of possibly chipping or dmging the fenders I wouldn't go non stagger. IF you really want to, I would suggest keeping the ride height pretty high with 245 non staggered and a minor front flare that Issac can do for you if you are worried about dmging fenders
With all that said. Would I go back to a staggered set up? Nope. The PROs of having a non stagger setup outweighs the CONs. (in my case)
