It's definitely more refined than the S2K. I have KW V3 and even with the firmer suspension the Boxster Spyder's suspension is definitely harsh but not as harsh as my S2K with KW V3. The car handles like no other and I have not driven a car that can take corners that fast and stable. It's alot quicker than the S and can transition better between quick turns. The car sits very low as well which helps the center of gravity and handling. It is a really expensive car so it is expected to be able to do these things. Porsche's racing technology takes the regular S model to a whole new level.

They put the Cayman S in the Boxster Spyder and raised the power and raised the redline. They widened the powerband which is very noticeable. You can't really compare the two cars due to the price difference but after reading a lot it is very quick around the track. From what I read it is only 1 second or 2 slower than a GT3 on certain well-known tracks which is a testament to the Boxster/Cayman chassis.

Nice! Thanks for the info/comparison. The only thing that bothers me on the Boxster spyder is the top. It seems like such a pain to deal with (as seen on top gear). I read somewhere in car talk that the new 991 Carrera S is faster then the 997.2 GT3 around the ring. I can only imagine how crazy fast the new gt3 will be. I also appreciate how they are one of very few sports car companies that are still providing manual transmission cars.

The new 991 is supposedly quicker than the outgoing GT3 which is pretty surprising since it is 13 seconds quicker than before on the ring. The GT3 is going to be a beast
