The Pure-Ion fan from Brookstone is by far the best one, although a little pricey for $400. I have one at home and it works great on cleaning the air and collecting dust. It also converts ozone to oxygen and it is a fan not like the Sharper Image one.

does it matter what kind of ionic purifer you have or do they all function pretty much the same? ok, i just checked and i have the ionic breeze gp (germicidal protection) silent air purifer. i just want to know if these are indeed unhealthy since my dad just bought one for the house and plans to get one more.

No IONIC breeze will do this. Read the comsumer report. Gave the Ionic Breeze a 0.

I'm going to costco and picking one up. I went to Target today and I do not believe they have that "Honeywell" model anymore.

Any more input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for all the help everyone!

HOLMES better. hahahaha j/k

Honeywell Filter looks more effective.. kinda like old domestic, mustang or hemi engine air filter.

Holmes filter looks more like Accord air filter.

dammit, i am on my second one, the air is blowing off center. i mean i like the unit, but the damn thing won't fan straight. this one is straighter than my last one, but still crooked. i am beginning to think this is how it is supposed to be.
