i bought it cuz hepa's are supposed to be better than those gimmick sharper image ones that i own. also, this one looks easy to maintain. just pull the reusable filters out from the back and vaccum them. voila, no extra costs.

dont get anything that ionizes the air...the ionized air will help remove the "funk" (odors) that you have in your room, but conversely its also bad for your lungs
