My 2 cents about BMW from my time in them is that the 3 series cars are way fun to drive and usually more reliable than their bigger brothers. I've driven the 5 series cars and the 7 series and they generally offer totally unimpressive handling, plus the wonderfully unintelligible i-drive navi systems.

Bottom line is don't buy a car for the status symbol, buy it because it drives great and fulfills your needs. The 5 and 7 people look down on the 3 series guys, but the 3 series guys are having a lot more fun.

I like my 325i. It's not as fun and powerfull as the "S" but it's comfortable and a great commuter car.

Owning both a S2000 and a M3, ( my girl drives a 323 also), there is no better all around car than a BMW. Also if the M3, at 4400 pounds, ever hits the s2k, it will slice through it like a hot knife through butter. My next car i get my girl will be a x5, I wouldnt trust her safety to anything less. I come from being in a head on crash at 80 mph in a 328. I walked away without any injuries. To BMW Build quality.

Only BMW owners know, I agree with khuezee about the lil flaws that Bimmers tend to have but mostly electronic problems. Besides that nothing drives like a BMW.

I made a drive up to San Jose last week, and will be doing it again this week. Last week in a GS300 this time in a Sienna minivan

(Moving my sister)

Anyone else get massive headaches after coming down from the grapevine? Im guessing its the low elevation to high elevation, then down again. I swear my eyeballs start to hurt and my traps tense up like somoeone is stabbing them.

We've owned four BMWs and loved every one of them; not keeping pace on the Grapevine was probably due to the drivers not using cruise control as much as anything else.

Like their cars or not, the 2.5/2.8./3.0 and especially the 3.2 liter BMW inline sixes are sweet engines, AND the cars handle better than any "grocery getter" that is made or designed in Detroit. Since I've never liked the look of the new 5/7 series, I haven't had to contend with I-Drive or other electronic glitches that seem to affect the latest generation of BMWs.

I've seen a couple of the new twin-turbo 335i's driving around the BMW distribution facility in Oxnard, and let me tell you those cars look great. Even though they are still 3 series, the 335i's new head/tail-light treatment and dual exhausts look and sound awesome... can't wait for convertible.

It was BMW's butt-ugly styling that chased me away from the Z4 and into the S2000 (and I'm loving every minute of it).

never said I didn't like the BMW 3 series, I said I don't like how some people act like their driving a turbo bently.

Cruise control or not, they could not keep up with me (at my steady pace).

S2000 bmw 328 & 525 at the grapevine. lol

good luck estukaye, that is a boring drive, the 99 isn't as bad as the 5, the 5 fwy is super boring. Oh and no I don't get headachs up there, but I can see why you do.
