Hello,
Just got back from Horse Thief Mile running Clockwise. I'm VERY happy with my results...here's my summary:
Damn hot...114F hot. I ran three 20-25min sessions and called it a day. 2nd and 3rd sessions I started to overheat, and since I hit my target lap time, I decided not to push it.
I ran HTM CW with Speedventures around a year ago at hit 1:06.X. HTM is a fun, technical, short track perfect for lighter cars, such as the S2000, Elise, Miata, etc. Lots of elevation changes, 2nd gear hairpin turns, and narrow track. It's a bit scary, because run-off is limited to steep ditches and the narrow asphalt doesn't allow for much room for error.
I had a two scary moments when I spun out on the "high speed" right-sweeper after the chicane.

I adjusted my suspension and wing angle to reduce the high-speed oversteer, while still trying to keep the low-speed neutral-ness. HTM is a track where you almost "steer" using the pedals, along with the steering wheel.
By my third session, I hit my best lap time of 1:04.2, which is nearly 2 seconds off my best time. It's hard to gauge whether or not, that is a "fast" time, since not many people have run HTM, thus hard to see how I did relative to others. Checking Speedventure's website, when they ran HTM in March 2008, two cars had better lap times than me: a Thunder Roadster and an Elise, but they were running R-comps; I was running Toyo R1R's (street tires). So I think I did well??? For those that have fun this track and config on S2KI, what times were you posting???
Here is my video, feel free to comment/critique/flame/compliment!!!

I did the 1:03.5 with balding NTO1Rs I think if I had a new set of tires 1:02s should be in reach.
