Arrow 626 drift track events

Hey Guys,

I went to this 626 Drift track event run by this guy Jason at the horse thife mile to day. So when I get there we were told that all the grip people were going to do time attack. We were given hour practice time and then competed to get the fastest time. This was pretty fun.

But at the end of the time attack the top six people got paired up to run together. He basiclly set up a Togue like race. I was very uncomterble about this because we would have to go bumper to bumper racing. I didnt want to really do it but I had posted the top time of the day and I wanted to win. This was the dumpest thing I have ever done at the track!! In the end I lost to a 86 corolla that was 1 second slower on his over all time. But was able take off from a stand still faster then me. Also when I had passed him he keep blocking me and stole my apex in this one turn on every lap.

Winner the this event got a HID kit and on day pass for the track from Jason.
I would also like to state that his friend was driving the corolla. Sorry for such a long post but I just want to warn all my socal s2k drivers and any track junkie to stay away from events that Jason holds (626 drifting).

1. He puts everyone in danger
2. Is very unprofessional
3. He puts your car in danger.

K~

Wow...open passing, sounds very dangerous being that you start at the same time.

On the contrary, I'm sure many ricers that watch too much BMI would absolutely love the idea.

P.S. Speedventures is the best

Sorry...but...It doesn't seem like he forced you to do this so its your own decision whether or not to do it. You put yourself in danger by agreeing to do it.

"I wanted to win"
Sounds like you lost because you didn't feel comfortable under pressure. Just the added difficulty that comes with an expensive car.

Looks like the event is geared more towards beaters. Some guys are nuts; at least they save their antics for the track. Regardless of whether you meet crazy drivers on the track or the freeway, you always have the option to step aside.

I was going to say "Dude, thats messed up, so it was open passing like the black/advanced group for other track events." Then I realized that people had a choice to get in that group or not so I deleted what I wanted to say and put my first comment. Thanks for the heads up though, I will definitely steer away from that group.
