Ok well the calulator site is working now.

4.77 on AP2 trans with 255 tires in rear give you a top speed of 131.4mph

4.56 on Ap2 trans with 255 tires in rear give you a top speed of 137.5mph

hmm what to do what to do.

4.77 with 4.56 isn't a big difference in the top speed.

I've been thinking about gears as well. does anyone have a video or personal account of a Ap1 w/ 4.77 vs Ap1 w/ 4.57? Not to thread jack, but i'm trying to figure out if 4.77 are ok for driving in Cali. Since we almost always have to take the freeway to get anywhere.

You're going to want to look at where your cruising speeds are more then your topspeed... read across the graph for where your 40mph and 70mph will be.
