2. Track Tuned (Class TT)
The TT class is designed for regular track guys who wish to learn more on how to fine tune their cars and their driving. By allowing common aftermarket parts, TT drivers will be able to experience the beauty of fine tuning their rides and polishing their driving skills. S2000 CR model also fits into this class.

3. Street Sport (Class SS)
The SS class is designed for S2000 enthusiasts who just started getting into motorsports. By keeping the cars relatively stock, SS drivers can focus more on improving their driving skills.

Vitt clued me in on this. Now I see why he sold me his PLM header...he wants to stay SS. I wish I had seen this a couple of weeks ago before I committed to a basketball tourny the same weekend of 6/12.

Noob here . I'd really like to get to one of the events and (learn how to) drive on a track. Is there a link that has the basic rules for XS and/or the tracks? I read through First Day at a Track and started on other links under Racing and Comp. FAQ, so I got some of my general questions answered but are there specifics, like tow hooks being required, that I need to be aware of? I do have a open face SA2005 helmet that I purchased last year for a PCA AutoX in Camarillo, is it sufficient, do I need gloves or other safety clothing?

Awe too bad you can't make it! It's going to be a blast! Plan for Buttonwillow July 9-10. That will be great also.

Your SA2005 helmet is good. Then all you need is long sleeves and pants.

Most of what you learn will be on the track. Youll start in the beginner class and work your way up the ladder. You can get ride alongs and have an instructor ride with you. Everybody is very nice and you can ask anything you need information about and they'll help you.

It really is an amazing time and great learning experience!

You can check out extremespeedtrackevents.com for the schedule.

^^Great, thanks. I thought for sure tow hooks are required, but it appears not to be the case. I hope I can make it in July

Well...toe hooks I guess are highly recommended in order to give a solid tow point in case you gut stuck in the dirt. You should have a factory tow hook in your trunk...
