knowone driving on the street could call the police to a car which is driving while the alarm is sounding.

dang, my friends car didn't even get scoped out that long.
it was his first time even coming to Pomona, we went to sleep at like 4 AM. we were kicking it outside. i woke up at 8AM and the car was gone

This is why I sold my civic. My buddys just got stolen and he had more into the car then it was worth. She is so lucky it was basically stock. If she had aftermarket into it she would have lost alot more.
