hey guys, in the morning when i barely start my car. my car is already on first gear and i pushed down on the clutch to pop it into neutral and it just gets stuck on first gear still. same goes if i start the car off and leave it into neutral. it get's stuck there and won't go into first gear or any other gears. after a while when the car is warm, then is when i can switch gears.. but ive been noticing lately its been getting harder and harder to switch gears. i havent changed my transmission oil for a while.. but is that the problem? or what could be the problem? thanks for your help s2ki!

Try changeing the tranny fluid to MTF. That help when I couldn't get out of secound gear, and also made the notchy shifting go away. Also adding a heavier shift knob also help with shifting like a Skunk2. Then check the clutch fluid, make sure its clean and straw color. If the clutch pedal fell soft there might be air bubles that preventing the clutch master cylinder from fully extending.

^I'll assume it already has MTF in it..... we hope.

New Honda MTF is better then the older stuff. Have it changed and go from there but already that's not a great sign.

well since you havent checked ur tranny oil in a while thats already a major sign. Usually ur supposed to check it or change it around 15-30K miles..

Do what Greg said.. or you could replace your clutch slave cylinder that could be sticking

Sounds like you have bubbles in your clutch fluid or a blown/leaky slave cylinder
