I moved out of West LA to OC for a bit and miss it already. Everything here is at least a 2 mile drive, amidst SUVs, trucks, and a lot of fatty McGees. I miss how I could just walk to Sawtelle St. and grab some great food. Here are the places I miss the most. They include great food and great atmosphere.

Sushi: Sasabune on Wilshire

Soon Tofu: Tofu Ya on Sawtelle

Shabu-shabu: Mizu 212 on Sawtelle

Tacos: Tito's Tacos on Sepulveda

All around great food: GReats on Sawtelle

Chinese: Hop Li Seafood on Pico

Pizza: Enzo's on Weyburn

Great happy hour and pizza: Palomino's on Wilshire

Applepan = best burgers/fries ever.

shabu-shabu = the place on 8th/la brea. not really "west la" but whatever. best shabu place ive been to imo...even better than the jtown one

i hear great thing all the time about el taurino. i got to try that place.

as for tito's tacos? im sorry that place is a dissapointment. i ve been there and this the joint was WAY overrrated. sorry, ive tried better places.
