Hilarious....9k redline is the DEFINING note of stook.
I'm in between - I have an AP1.5! AP2 with 8500 redline!
I hope your family is doing well Terry. We going to see you anytime soon? Ever get the SC installed?

Oh yeah DBW and CDV's FTL!
Why do AP2 owners complain about the CDV?

If you like the older, outdated version of the stook with less torque and hp.
Less HP??? IIRC 06+ were rated at 237HP

[QUOTE=SOHCmyDOHC,Dec 2 2009, 02:01 PM] Funny how AP2 owners who mod the car decide to "raise" the redline to even 8500? If they were happy with 8000 why raise it? No more power is made in that 500 rpm.

We all know how reliable manufacturer's published HP ratings are. On a lot of dynos, stock AP2s have shown higher rwhp ratings than AP1s.
I could run my AP1 in 3rd and you can run in 4th. I could "show" higher HP due to my "effective gearing"

DBW - no problems. You been this early?!?
CDV - annoying but they had to install it to handle the extra power the AP2 engine produces! Not needed on AP1!

CDV was added cuz AP1's were blowing diffs w/ less TQ and HP. Must have been due to the extra 1000 rpms.

More AP1 excuses!!!
DYNO's show numbers. Unless you state the conditions then the numbers are pretty much useless.
