Thunderhill vets
Hi all.Anyone here got first hand experience racing thunderhill ? If so. tire sizes ,rollbar, gear selection for turn? Share , share

Are you talking about wheel-to-wheel racing or just open track high performance driving? There is a big difference. Open track events are untimed, have strict passing rules, and emphasize safety first. Racing is...well...racing. I've done untimed HPDE's for nearly 10 years now. I used to instruct novices, but gave that up for Lent a few years ago, and its still Lent. I've organized a few events over the years too. So if there is something you need to know about Thunderhill and open track, drop me a line. If I don't have an answer I can point you in the right direction.
If you are really interested in racing, check out the S2000 Racing & Competition Forum under Special Interest. Also check out the SCCA and NASA for driver qualification and licensing requirements.
BTW Jack, there is an excellent event coming up at Thunderhill on April 3, 2009. Its sponsored by TEAM Racing, and has free instruction for all novices. Check it out.

Hopefully my car will be done in time for this event!
Quick question for Bonni or Ron: I'm solo certified now but I was wondering I can still get instructor assistance in the B Group? I think the answer is yes but I just want to confirm.

Just kidding. Yes, so long as you indicate on your form that you'd like an instructor, I can find one for ya, no worries.

Thanks! My car should be going in next week and be done in a week so I should be able to go. Even though I'm solo certified, there's a still a lot for me to learn out there and the instructors are really helpful for me as I try to improve my skills.
