Default sound when braking...?

there's a shrieking sound that i hear from my right rear and it's more obvious when i'm braking. but then even when rolling especially at higher speed (50mph), the sound is still there. when i make a slight turn, the sound comes up. when i reverse and turn to the right (getting out of the driveway), the sound comes

do my brakes need service?

i also need an alignment. i haven't done one since i slapped on the springs. does needing an alignment have anything to do w/ this issue?

i need to take care of it asap, it's irritating.

need your help!

Sounds like the squeal stops are making noise. Better check your brake pads.....especially the inside pad which means removing the wheel and caliper to check.

I don't think that it has anything to do with the springs....but you should probably get an alignment...especially if you are concerned with performance. I always get an alignment when ever I change my ride height and suspension set up but a bad alignment for me means seconds on a race track....all it means on the street is poor tire wear.

The are little springs on the inside brake pad. When the pad wears down the squeal stop hits the rotor and squeals.....Its a warning....it means that your basically running on just the backing plates. Many times the inside pad will wear more than the outside pad so just looking at it through the rim is not good enough.

aiite good lookin out ken. let me know when you can get a hold of those cause i don't think it's recommended to drive until i get a new set.

can you still get discounts at dealerships? i just called barber honda and they charge about 60$ for the fronts and $60 for the rears. my uncle works at lexus and usually gets it at a cheaper price, but he's not picking up at the moment.

they say it's recommended to have the rotors turned when changing out the brake pads... i was told that if i took them off myself and brought them over to like pep boys or something, it'll be approximately 10$/wheel to get 'em turned.

can anyone disagree?
