SCCA AutoX event in Stockton
Sup CVS2ks. I'm AyJay, one of the Community Organizers in the Sac Subforum and I maintain the Sac AutoX thread.
Just wanted to let you guys know that the Sacramento SCCA AutoX chapter is holding an AutoX event in Stockton the weekend of Saturday, June 26th and Sunday, June 27th.
The event site will be the SJ County Fairgrounds - corner of Airport & Charter.
There will be a few of us Sac guys coming down to run in the event. Just thought I'd post and see if there was anyone in Stockton and/or CV interested in coming out to this event in your backyard. Most of us run in the newly formed, S2000 dominated, Street Touring Roadster (STR) class that allows most all bolt-ons as legal. The STR class will be running in the morning session on Saturday and the afternoon session on Sunday. See above date links for details.
If you have any questions about the event, cost, equipment needed (really just a helmet), S2000 friendly classes, etc. I will be happy to answer in the thread.
It'd be great to see some new S2k owners out there getting the most out of their born-for-this sports cars.

I went to the event, I took my son. I want to try it next time it looked like a lot of fun. There were a LOT of sweet cars at the event as well. Bunch of Vette's, a Viper, a Cobra, a Ferrari, hella Miata's (cool looking ones), S2k's, BMW's, Civics (they were fast too). Anyway seemed like everyone there was really friendly and the event was ran really well IMO.

Which day did you go?
A couple of us went on Saturday. I think only one of us went on Sunday. (VROD04 on S2ki, BB S2k w/ RPF1s)
I must confess that I passed on going Sunday to go to a pool party.
There are always some really cool cars out there ... and it's even more fun to get out there and goof around in ur car. Once the addiction sets in you actually become a much better driver too.
