The main straight is crazy cuz it elbow bends 2/3 of the way down and I kept letting off to set up for the braking zone. If you keep in the throttle you are in fifth gear, at great speed, moving toward the outside of the track, on the edge of traction. It's crazier than it looks in video games.
I think I hit 110+ by the braking zone going into turn 2. Not a fast as Thunderhill though.

Nice. You broke the 2 min barrier.
I just figured out (after looking at the bay area thread) how u knew I broke 2 mins.

The timestamps on the Got Blue Milk pics kinda give a rough idea of your lap times. Some of the pics in my set look dam near identical from lap to lap.

Thats kinda cool.

Yeah it's a cool trick for rough times. :-) Haven't seen the BA thread... been using that trick for a while. A coach buddy got me on to it.

That's pretty good speed Vu. I think the fastest I ever got there in my S was about 105-110. The 4-5 straight is shorter but just as fast by the brake zone. The main straight is just so long on the uphill.

ATTN: Track guys! It's track time again. I'm going to try to organize a small run to Laguna Seca.

In the next day or two I will be signing up for 1 of the following NCRC Events in the solo run group:
Feb. 1 @ Laguna Seca - $179
Feb. 25 @ Laguna Seca - $159 (prolly $169 non-member)

I'm leaning toward 2/25 because the date works better for me but I'm flexible enough to do either.

I did a solo run to LS last month and it worked out pretty well. I left a little after 5am and got to the track just after 8am. Plenty of time to set up before my run group started at 9am.

Anyone interested in joining me (and more than likely VROD04)? If interested, specify which day works better for you.

***NOTE***
Yea, Yea, I kno, I kno... Blah, blah, S2k Broomstick test.
There were an awful lot of s2000s lapping on 12/4 (See car #'s 03, 14, 26, 28, 38, 4, 418, 88, 888, 99) for the broomstick test to be that much of a deterrent. I believe most of these cars are from S2ki bay area.
