I'm not sure where you got your info Andy, but from Trackmasters Tech Checklist...
The jury is still out with regard to NASA. I have an email in to Jerry Kunzman. I thought Todd participated in a NASA HPDE last year.

Please note that convertible vehicles must have factory roll bars or be equipped with SCCA or NRHA approved roll bars. Factory installed Pop-up bars and Hoop style bars are considered factory anti-rollover protection and meet the minimum requirements.

Sounds like a plan.
Lets do it the same night after the trackday tho. I remember there being some talk about the day after but just got tix to a Kings preseason game that nite.
