I've gone by the rule of thumb that nething more than 5mm spacers on OEM studs is pushing your luck. I've heard stories of people's wheels coming off using more than that.
I've used 5mm spacers before on the track with no probs.

Looks like I'll be sticking with Wilwood calipers and swapping out Porterfield 4R pads everytime before I race. That's better than shelling out $5K+ for new wheels and a BBK for now....
