Aftercooler is under the hood,IC is in the grill? Correct The aftercooler has a lil rad that cools it but in the pic it looks like an IC,a big one but probably not

thats as far as naming goes. both still are used for cooling compressed air before the motor. coolers can actually be mounted anywhere, differences are water/air or air/air coolers. EX:subies have the cooler on top of the motor being cooled by the hood scoop

Maybe it's the radiator I'm seeing, I thought it was a IC (?) as well.

Nice setup! Looks good. I wonder if the stock radiator could keep up with cooling demands of a S/C car on the track in 100 degree weather.

The 03 Cobra I had got heat soak really badly in the summer and the computer would go into limp mode on the straightaway. A cooling upgrade was mandatory for the cars tracked in the hot summers.

How'd you do against the corvette?

^LOLZ. Well I have both an aluminum racing radiator and a IC/AC.

And with both no heat soak problems in 97/98 degree heat.

sometime if i ever have any problems i'd want to upgrade my rad, thermostat and fan switch as well. I only drive the S in the summer so no worries with anything like "over cooling"

Well I wanted to head out to TH on the 8th, but I have a hearing that can't be moved. So, the 14th isn't looking bad.

Anyone have a link to the lotus club that is running the track day, I googled it and even went to the Thunderhill website but couldn't find a link and lost patience. I think the number of lotus clubs out numbers the actual number of lotuses made.

You're lucky you're not going. I just cancelled my track day for the 8th that was run by Thunderhill for $160.

There weren't enough cars going so they added a Spec Miata run group, a CHP Teen driving group, and then combined A & B run groups and stuck us (Bs & As) last in the rotation so we finished after 5. No thank you.

Here's a link to info for the Golden Gate Lotus Club event on the 14th. I'm still going to that.

The passing rules are pretty liberal for Bs compared to other organizations. Passing anywhere on course with point-bys except on 5. No point-bys in the normal passing zones. Not sure if this is good or bad since I'm a bit new to this.

Can't beat running with Lotuses, love those cars. I'd bet the guys who buy these cars and track them have some prior track experience which makes the liberal passing rules workable.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to sign up. Thanks for the link.
