PayPal users BEWARE!!
I found this on another site I visit and also received the E-mail in my "inbox."
"I received the below quoted email yesterday and noticed the web address quickly change a couple of times after clicking on their link, so I suspected a spoof. I then went directly to my PayPal account and found an alert regarding these type of phony emails designed to send you to a fake web site and attempt to capture your personal and credit card info.
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Dear paypal user, We would like to inform you that we are upgrading our server to install a better protection software. So please click here and fill in the registration form again to renew your account. Paypal Administration."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These emails are not from PayPal and responding to them may put your account at risk. Please protect your PayPal account by paying close attention to the emails you receive and the websites you visit."
If you got this E-mail, trash it.

I use PayPal a lot, and they warn about this type of scam on their site. A legitimate business will NEVER ask for personal/confidential info thru an e-mail.

I used to use paypal alot until they jacked my account for over $3K!!! I sold a Turbo from my MR2, the guy bought it and I shipped it out. The tracking number wasnt going through for UPS's reasons, and the guy complained. Paypal retracted the $$ plus funds that I had in my account and withdrew $ from my distributers that I paid for products they shipped out.
Lets just say tehy werent happy, but since we are all friends, they trusted me for teh $$ in the end. After almost a month of complaining and faxing paperwork, reciepts, tracking numbers, and many other things, I finally got my $$ back.
PAYPAL SUX!!!
