Mugen FRP Hardtop
Does anyone in Sacramento have one on their AP2? I'm thinking of getting this top. How hard was the install, or how many $$$ if you had it done? Same with paint, where and how much? Does the kit include a cover for the soft top? Thanks.

Any reason on not getting OEM or a copy? Mugen is top notch and I believe it comes with all the hardware. Only thing I don't like about most non oem HT's is that the rear view is considerably smaller than the OEM HT.
No cover or HT rack.
As far as painting most of the sac folks go to TnT autobody
Install isn't that hard except for putting it on the car once the hardware is installed. I could help you if need be.

warning, once its off/on the car its hard to decide which to go with I sometimes wish it were wasy enough to be put on by a single person
For me I hated the soft top, its either top down or HT
you wont go wrong with a HT though, makes the car so much nicer in less than ideal weather

There have been a few selling in the Bay Area a while back. I know there was a BB HT from a 2008 CR for sale. Not too sure about the seller from reading the posts but it seems he's firm on the price.

Here is another one also. Pseudo sale since it's not officially posted.

A hardtop from an AP1 will fit onto an AP2 without any problems. When I first bought my OEM hardtop I bought it brand new at Carmichael Honda. I acctually bought it during Christmas time when they were offering like 20% off all accesories.
I think they forgot that the S2000 hardtop was an accesorry, LOL. So I got it for cheap, waited about 3months.
Now I have a Mugen Replica hardtop.

Autowest Honda want $4000 for a new hardtop. That's almost $400 more than MSRP. I won't be shopping there.
I emailed the CR owner with the BB hardtop twice but no replies. No mention of a hardtop in the second thread. I didn't see a hardtop on the HTG site. Where is it hiding?
Oh, and I missed a black factory hardtop that was for sale 2 days ago on eBay. Arrgh...
Bottom line is I want a hardtop, I like the factory hardtop, but I think with Honda sales down 35% they ought to be marked down 10%-20% instead of the other way around.
