The top replacement is one of the more overblown jobs in terms of how hard everyone says it is to how hard it actually is. Amazing that people charge $1-2K just for labor for this.

It does take a while, but it is not hard.

If you follow my exploits and take notes, I bet you can do it in 6 hours.
