It'll be hard to find one with low miles for that price, but these motors are pretty darn good, even though there has been a few guys locally blowing them up. I wouldn't be to hesitant on grabbing one with near 100k or so and tracking it. Just don't mod the motor crazy IMO, stock is king, look at rob, he runs a damm stock header
I agree. The motor will remain relatively stock - bolt-on's at best - no forced induction for sure.

My goal is to have it as a dd, that I can take out to autox, mountain roads and handle beautifully. Which this car right out of the box will do. I'd be planning on doing gears, a little suspension, a hard top, rims/tires, and a lip - that's about it.

Yup! He's asking 16/17k I believe. Its super clean though, Brembo bbk, cr lip, side strakes, ap2 wing, car cover. Not a scratch on it always garaged.
Sounds beautiful, and again, if I had that kind of budget I'd be all over it - though I'd scrap that CR lip - I'm always reminded of the Blitz front bumper whenever I see it.

I'll have to give you the run down before you start spending any money on mods. There is a lot of good info here, but there is also a lot of guys that don't know what the hell they are talking about. Even if you never plan to track or autocross your s2k.....you want to talk to those guys about mods. They know what works, what doesn't, and what is a waste of money in comparison to performance gains.

^ very true - thus my presence here. I'm a sponge here to learn from the dirt of this site.....wait, uh...I mean the pro's of this site. In hindsight the sponge metaphor really doesn't have a way of wrapping it up nicely other than referring to something which you would be cleaning...hmmm.

Lets just say I'm here to learn.

@ Rob, you've seen it rob. Its my buddy Homer's car. He's been out to a couple of our meets! There's a couple if pics of it on the photoshoot thread with my car. Its a willwood brake kit not a brembo like I posted above.
