why would the gixxer 600 be cheaper than any other 600cc bike,

it might be cheaper to get gas down in bakersfield but all bike are around 4.5 gal but really each fillup its 2.5-3 gallon. oh well,
gixxer 600 only need to use 87. alot of people dont know this but running 87 will make 1hp more than running 91.

i doubt running 87 octane on any bike is good...Almost every bike has a compression of 12:1+...

Gixxer 05-07 are 12.5:1 whereas the 08 is 12.8:1

With high compression, you need high octane to reduce knock. You might even benefit from running race gas

Have a buddy that has a ducati 1098s and he dyno with pump gas vs race gas and he made at least 10 hp to the wheel with race gas.

how would you feel about filling the S2000 with 87 octane

it is 11:1 compression, would you want to fill it up with 87 octane to save a few bucks.

all my friends that have gsxr 600 use 87. the owners manual says 87..
theres a huge debate about this on gixxer forums but i know 100% that any gsxr 600 ONLY can use 87. high compression or not.. im sure they made it so it can run it..

ducati 1098?? thats a liter bike. i was talking bout 600.. even the previous CBR600RR generation owners manual says to use 87. now i have a newest 08CBR6600RR and that has to use 91 or higher

im still trying to find the review that show a dyno gsxr 600 on 87 and 91. the 87 made 1 more hp.. even if it was an error.. 87 didnt hurt it at all

Much smoother, in comparison, is the fuel-injection system when it's time to reapply throttle. In this important respect, it's only second to the stellar Ninja's. Notably, the Gixxer is the only one of this quartet that doesn't require premium fuel; interestingly, Suzuki's Garrett Kai tells us the bike actually makes about one less horsepower with premium fuel.
