Default Engine check light

Okay guys, I'm at 52k on my S and was just getting ready to get it in for service this week and the check engine light comes on while driving to work this morning.
It's running great but I called the honda dealership near me first thing and they said not to worry, just get it in soon for service. My biggest concern is that, will anything get damaged in the mean time?

You broke your car.......

Check your gas cap and make sure it's screwed all the way in. If it's not that, then it's probably time for your 50k maintence.. There's a way to reset the CEL but I can't remember which fuse to pull out.

Yes, check the gas cap first. It happened to me a couple of years ago.

Do not pull the fuse. Pulling the fuse does not fix the problem. Take the car to Auto Zone, Kragen, etc. and have them pull the code. They will do it for free. They can then tell you what the code means or come back here and tell us. I have the Honda codes and can tell you what it means. If I can not tell you how to fix it, xviper or wisconsin can.

Yep, I checked the gas cap right away and that wasn't it. I guess it just freaked me out and I was worried it might damage the engine if I drove any further.
I'll check with one of the plases you've mentoned and let you know.

Thanks guys
