The warranty covers only for mechanical parts. Accessory parts such as brake pads, hoses and including the adjustment of the valves are not covered under the warranty. Bottom line, only major mechanical parts.
This sucks because both they (Dealership & Honda Tech Line) diagnosed that the valve itself is re-seating and the only way to find out is to remove the cylinder. BUT! if their diagnostic is wrong. Then I - as a customer pays for their mistake.
Hahaha
Freaking aye.
Oh well, back to work. I gotta get these wedding pictures done.

I think they mentioned a retainer, but I am not too sure lol.
The only information I gathered from what they told me was that the valve re-seats itself when driving for a bit after the adjustment.
I'll have to wait until Wednesday to find out more information.
According to the Dealership. A Honda Certified Representative will be on site at Elk Grove Honda to investigate the problem and will determine whether if it is covered by the warranty.
We'll see.

FYI my friend who is a HONDA tech in the bay said that the earlier AP1's (like yours) had soft valve guides and sometimes the get egged shaped.
Sounds like HONDA is gonna help you out on this one.

Updates:
Honda inspector came and approved on the cylinder head replacement.
I was told that the new cylinder head takes a week to arrive so we might not be able to join you guys with the Dublin meet.
If the car is fixed before the upcoming Dublin meet, then we will join you guys and caravan there together.
The S2000 Dublin meet may possible be our last S2000 meet. I am in discussion with a few people wanting to buy the car. Unless he wises up, knows his boundaries and persuades me to change my mind; my son no longer deserves to have this car and is the reason for me to sell it.
It will be the saddest decision I'll have to make. Like Andy have said in another thread "Everything eventually comes to an end".

OH NO! on the head replacement but sad news with the talks on selling the car.
Now that I'm older, I do agree that a first car is always a learning experience as I've done some crazy stuff myself. Having and S2000 as a first/only car is a big responsibility and hope you guys stay within the community
Other than the bent valve, what were the other details they released about the car?
