Update:

Just got a call from the Dealership asking me to authorize for the removal of Cylinder #3.

According to the Dealership, they contacted Honda Tech Line and they suspected that the valve on Cylinder 3 is re-seating itself and is causing the valve to be tight which causes the misfire.

I won't have the car back in time for SAC2KDAYs and possibly might not have back in time for Dublin Honda Meet either. Haha

Oh well

John, they asked if I need a loaner car. I rejected it, perhaps I should re-consider. We'll see.

you should! It's included with the warranty

@ Toyota My Camry no longer has its warranty but they still gave me a loaner car when they had to keep my car overnight for wheel bearing work. Free mileage! Just gotta fill w/gas

Well here's the thing.

Honda Headquarter mandated me to authorize the Dealership for the removal of the Cylinder because Honda Headquarter doesn't want to pay $500 for the removal of it in case the valve re-seating is not the problem causing the misfire.

So if valve re-seating is not the problem, who is responsible? Not you hopefully....dealer?

If the valve re-seating isn't the problem. It's out of my pocket. That's why they wanted my authorization.

So here hoping IT IS the problem so not only they can fix it but also saves me $500

If it's still under warranty, why should you be paying anything?
