Default August Drive

So here's the dealio. I want to do another drive in August and I liked both drives. Which one would you guys like to do and who wants to go?

I'm thinking that if we do Lake Berryessa then we should get an early start to get some good driving in and have either an early lunch or I think a smarter thing is do the drive then have lunch. (So that you only taste your lunch once. )

If we do Hwy 49 which will be a much shorter drive. We can have brunch after the drive. (Same theory goes here as above )

What do you guys think?

which one has less turns and less likely to make someone like myself, sick? what's the speed limit on these drives (for you guys)? if you're talking about 90mph+ and making those turns...i'll have to think about it.

Lake berryessa [hwy 126] is posted 45-55mph. and is a very pleasant drive, with a few places for lunch, however the bad news is that weekends the road may be clogged with bicycles, minivans, boat trailers lot of slow moving traffic. Been there done that. but once you get past the tourists theres some good road to enjoy.

This group doesn't do drives that are really fast. More so it's to enjoy the drive as a whole, scenery, sounds, the car, etc.. We only go too fast on the last 5 miles into Reno!!

Sounds like fun, but we're most likely too busy. I'll let ya know at the last minute if we can possibly make it.

I was told the road to Forest Hill has just recently been repaved and is really nice and smooth. Also there is a killer burger joint at Forest Hill Road and 80 that is very tasty. I think it's called Izzies or something similar. I think this drive might be a little cooler weather as well. We would definitely be interested.

Another ride that might be nice would be up to the Apple Hill area. Some nice back roads up that way.
