Any good shop to install diff in Sac area?
I'm in Reno, NV and don't trust any shop in town to do the installation. Any shop that do alot of diff swap in Sac area. How long is it usually take? Phone number and or address if you can help.
Thank you for any info.

Are you looking for the gears (ring & pinion) to be installed in your diff or your diff housing swapped out in the car?
If diff housing, anyone can do this... well to an extent. If they can change oil they should be able to swap the diff out (just make sure they got some muscle). If your looking to change R&P then I don't know of any reputable shops that has done an S2k swap. I personally would take it to a 4wheel drive shop and have it done. The 4wheel drive guys swap R&P all the time and ours is no different than theirs. Its all about getting the contacts right and that takes experience...which they have.

This is my early chrismas shopping list. I do not have anything yet. I want to find out more about all options that I have. I prefer the shop that do work with S before not any shop which we have up here in Reno. I hope they are shop in Sac or close by for me to drive over. Just not enough S here in Reno for specialty shop.
Thank you guys.

Complete diff or ring and pinion would help out. Like Fut said complete diff is relatively easy. R&P not so. I'm under the assumption you want complete.
