I have a questions if anyone can help. Please excuse me if this is a repost. I'm new to this site and I just bought a 2000 S2k.
On the 2000 to 2001, the S2k's came with the plastic rear window. As the 2002 came out, they came with the glass window. My question is how hard or what is needed in order for you to change it to the 2002 models with the glass window?
Any info will be appricated. My rear plastic window broke so I figure this is a reason for me to swap to the glass one if it's possible.

 

There's a lot of information on this. Basically you would have to get a new top (hardtopguy.com) has good prices. Installation can be done on your existing frame. there is a dyi on s2ki.com but it's rather complex. Mine was done after a break in on my car that ruined the top so most of the cost was covered by insurance. I am glad it was done. The other option is to go aftermarket. There is someone here in So Cal that was talking about a high quality aftermarket top made for the s2000 with a glass window. it was canvas rather than nylon. Neither option lets you use the rear defogger. You could also go the hardtop route.

PETE!! Glad to see your on the board. I'm still trying to get the price on the window. My boy hasn't gotten back to me yet. I'll let you know though. I got a HELM's manual if you need me to show you whats involved...

 

Pete, there's a guy in one of the forums that is asking where he can get his fenders rolled. Check it out, he's got an 04 complete rag top with glass rear window.
