I'm down to go if its a group of bay area people going the northern route (modesto etc as mentioned above) and well organized.
I think it would be too much to drive all the way down to fresno and take the southern route into the park.
For anybody who has never been to Yosemite, when you eventually do go you will wonder how went all those years without ever seeing the place. Millions of people travel from all over the world to experience it.
