It's resolved.

As for the drive; is this going to be one of those rock chips galore trips? Might have to go smurf mode & tape it up!

Did it about a year and a half ago...its very much worth it and I'd love to do it again. However if you ever do want to hike half dome, you now need a permit, and they are sold out for about a year in advance right now I believe.
