Talking Yosemite Camping - May 9 2008

Ok, this is true test for flaker prince and princess.... I know it's early and thing can change but it's YOSEMITE!!

Housekeeping Camp Details

Each of the 266 units in the Housekeeping Camp area can accommodate up to six people. The units consist of three concrete walls, a concrete floor, double canvas roof and a fourth curtained wall. The curtain separates the sleeping area from a covered patio area that's furnished with picnic table, bear-proof food storage container and a privacy fence.
The sleeping area has two single bunk beds, a double bed, table, chairs, mirror, electrical lights and outlets. Linens and daily housekeeping service are not provided, despite the camp's interesting name. There are no televisions or telephones. Central restrooms and shower facilities with soap and towels are just a short walk away. Bedpacks consisting of 2 sheets, 2 blankets and 2 pillows may be rented for $2.50 per night.

We had stayed here before and it was nice. The plan is to stay two nights, Friday, Sat then leave on Sunday.

I hope I will be able to get that day off, though. We can't bid for next year's vacation days until November, I think.

We went in May last time, water falls were great and weather was nice and sunny. So maybe May will be better as it would be warmer? It still got cold at night.
