PINEHURST/SKYLINE meeting for food is really bad-nothing really up there. Either it's downhill through Shepard Canyon into Montclair (Crogans has a back room) but parking is hard. OR---more ride and REALLY sweet drive is down Pinehurst (switchbacks & hairpins) through Canyon (redwoods) and into Moraga with plenty of parking and LOTS of food places I could recommend. Out of Moraga is 24 which will get you back anywhere east or west to a north/south route. Think about it. Ina & Maury

If there is no good restaurants near Pinehurst/Skyline, we can try either one of the following:
1) Follow Ina's suggestion, we make a U-turn at Pinehurst/Skyline and then turn left to Canyon Rd/Moraga Rd in Pinehurst to head to Moraga. Then we will get double dose of the infamous hairspin.
2) Make the drive longer, when we get to Skyline from Pinehurst, we can either turn right to Berkeley (plenty of nice food but then no parking space) or turn left to San Leandro (I don't know any restaurant there either. Maybe someone else knows?)
What do you people think?

In light of the recent heated discussion of the infamous San Diego crash, do you people still want the drive this weekend? If we want to go ahead, I would say we just follow Ina's suggestion and head to Moraga for food. Ina: What is the name and address of the restaurant you are talking about?
