haha you're right i didn't learn the first time. what do you propose i should have done? can't register the car, its turbo charged ! can't get the tickets signed off it only came with 1 plate. can't park it in the garage since thats where the silver S sat. pay for parking? forget about it, that'd cost more than the tickets.

I'm simply looking to see if anyone has ever been in the same situation and trying to get advice. for your "theory" lets call it a theory for now, are you sure thats how it works and that if I get one of each ticket signed off it won't rectify them all?

You should have parked the car on the driveway or the garage. Since you didn't, the meter maid had fun with you. You should have gone down to DMV and gotten a replacement plate.

It's one thing if you got the citations a day or two apart, you could argue you didn't have time to get it corrected yet.

My suggestion would to either get it registered or sell the car, go to the judge, and plead for mercy and hope he threws out some of the citations. Never been in your shoe, so can't offer any real experience.

yea.. i guess the police or whomever decided to leave a notice on my old corolla that was sitting in front of my house for about 6-8 months and gave me 3 days to move it so i just parked it on my driveway.

lol you guys are lucky, i can't block my driveway its a 100$ ticket and that actually can be ticketed over and over again for different offenses.

how could I have gotten replacement plates without completing registration? this was unsmoggable until it got swapped a couple months ago.

yes sir i certainly did when i got the first plate ticket and they required that registration be up to date. heck i have the printout from DMV saying additional 16.00$ for new plate after smog was complete. smog was never completed needless to say

haha thanks kevin, i might just part the bish out over spring break and give the frame to a metal recycler and sign the title off to him.

I got in the mail today, a warning notice from DPT for the correctable offenses on my prelude. the fees go up to 490$ on the printout, which actually isn't bad since its from 4/18/08 but I look and it says this

9/01/08 TABS 120$
8/25/08 NO PLATES 160$
4/18/08 NO PLATES 210$

they fined me twice for the same offense, can they do that? It's still correctable if im not mistaken so i'll be parking it in my garage and having a peace officer come out to take a look.

But here's the kicker, I logged on the internet to see if it was a mistake (maybe the NOPLATES would be one offense) and I find, 915$ total in fines instead. I was penalized like 5 times for each offense (no tabs and no plates) so here I am about to scrap my prelude for parts instead if it doesn't go through.

AND BEFORE ANYONE POINTS THE FINGER, HERE'S THE SITUATION THAT WENT DOWN.
-bought the car in early 08'
-came with no front plate
-turbo'd SC61 H23VTEC in a 97' lude. (haha smog, yeah right.)
-registration wouldn't go through and no hot smog available since it failed once and no one would touch it.
-swapped it late 08' in sept-oct time
-got it home and its been sitting street parked ever since

so now I have no front plate, and to top it all off I can't get my car up to date because of the tickets. So how do I correct the offense if I can't get the tags/plates for it? S2ki help me out yO. Anyone know anyone that could make a new license plate for me?
bro, i know a place in the bay area, that will hook you up with what you need. PM me if itnerested. it's a "legit" smog place.
