Next month, I am thinking of selling my 'heavily modified AP2,' clean title, extremely well-taken care, always polished, and always mechanically maintained 70k+ miles(itS2Krazy, AutoInnovations, Honda of Serramonte) but it will be heavily priced also. You'll have to see it to believe it

For the most part, I'm trying to find a 2002 or 2003 only.
Please spread the word. I've been searching way too long

I got something in your budget. AP1, 00, GPW, 44K, Red/Black Interior, clean title, never driven these days, pretty much stock.

I should have a 2006 Rio with roughly 60k miles up for sale soon if you are interested....(will be higher than your price range though)

I prefer 02-03's over the 00-01's because:
- the later years have a *slightly* more forgiving suspension (negligible, probably), but not as forgiving as AP2s
- Glass rear window as you mentioned
- Small interior upgrades (radio/speakers/console/clock/etc.)
- Slightly higher HP than the older years (due to a different tune or ems?)
I'm sure someone will correct me if those assumptions are wrong.

Bump!
I just talked to a dude who traded in his 2003 for $10,500 and now the dealer is asking $16,500!
If you know anyone considering selling or trading, point them in my direction! I'll pay a fair price!

Theres an 05 gpw @ tracy honda for 16. It's high mileage and the top is not in that great of shape, so you can talk them down somewhat.
And my neighbor has an 02...that just sits in the driveway for weeks at a time. Has 2 different wheels though. Makes me wonder if he will sell it...
