Some times when you are late. You gotta do what you gotta do. I am fine Pyongyang it. But just ridiculous that it's 500 bucks. Expensive lesson learn to say the least.
Pyongyang? Spell check owned.

BTW, the legislative bodies have been limiting the ability of judges to lower fines lately. Some fines now are mandatory.
No reduction in fees but still no fiscal year budget..... Facepalm.

Ouch. I rather be late than get a ticket though.

Maybe a break down of the fees on the ticket would explain it to you.

When I make $500/hour I will travel via helicopter. Until then that 10-15 minutes possible time savings for a $500 ticket is going to have to wait.

Is there just one violation on the ticket? Was the carpool and speeding on the same ticket?

I'd have to agree that such an expensive ticket is not even close to being worth a few minutes of time savings ....... I am a bit shocked that the ticket is so high though.

Thanks for posting this info. This will be a good reminder for me to not chance it in the future.

I'm not surprised. I've been told they can be as much as $1200 if you're using it as your personal weave-in-and-out-of-traffic lane.

This is totally getting out of control. There is going to be a massive revolt soon if they dont put a stop to this bulls---. I had a parking ticket go from 61 to 183. I lucked out and went to the city offices and found a couple of ladies that I think were attracted to me and they reduced it back to 61. HC
