I'm trying to find a good date. I'm thinking the next Saturday without a autox or track day should work. We'll meet around 10:00, go for a drive, and then have lunch. Any suggestions for roads..

Not sure about its status at the moment (they were re-topcoating it last week) but Calaveras from Milpitas to Livermore is a definite fun drive. Mostly one lane; nothing but curves.

I can't wait to get my S2000 to try it.

That route was traveled by a group of us on July 5th on the way to lunch in Livermore and then on to the Blackhawk Museum.

A year or so ago we tried a Hookey Day that got rained out. The route was Vasco Road over to Brentwood, Hwy 160 out of Antioch and up the Sacto River levee road to Rio Vista. There are several interesting lunch spots in the Delta including Al the Wop's (you have to experience it to believe it) or the turn can be taken at Rio Vista (Hwy 12) over to Vacaville, then on to Winters and a very excellent lunch stop at The Buchhorn in that quaint town.

Just a thought or two.
