I'll be there with my Blue Civic hatchback and would like to finally connect with some of you. I'll be in the blue group.

My first day at the track! I'm also excited to meet some of the bay area folks as well as the Racing Forum regulars.

Sidenote: I rented a car from Hertz and for kicks, I read the rental agreement. They have a clause that says you cannot use their cars on the track (drivers education, speed contests, etc.) Not that they'd ever know.

What car did you rent?

Wow, this was such an awesome event! Taking my car out for the first time was definitely an educational experience. Learning how to drive the lines into apexes and learning about how to drive my car taught me a lot, and my instructor helped a lot also. I only spun out once getting my rr tire off into the gutter but other than that I was getting more confidence and I put in more laps.
Too bad about Davepk's car...=( His car caught on fire on Thursday and from what I heard it was the oil filter. There were a lot of s2k's there from socal. I have a lot of video from it but I only took 3 pics.
Last but not least, this Speed Ventures event was awesome and it taught me a lot as well as humbled me to drive slower on the roads.
